The Big County Chorus is the performance name of the Leeds and Bradford Barbershop Harmony Club, which was formed in 1995 with the amalgamation of two separate clubs, one from Bradford, and the other from Leeds.The membership currently stands at around 30 members.The Club have several gold medal winners in their midst, having sung in quartets that have been pronounced British Champions, the Musical Director is also a gold medallist.
New members are always welcome, and will be given all possible assistance when they join and the ability to read music is not a necessity.
The Club perform at every type of venue, whether it is in the foyer of a supermarket, assisting a charity with their fund-raising, or performing on stage in one of the largest concert halls in the land and have twice made concert tours of Spain. We sing at all types of functions. Weddings, Anniversaries, Church functions and Sounding Brass and Voices.
